Purple Dream: Recreating My Favorite Maple Ube Latte Recipe

Ever have a menu item disappear from your favorite coffee shop and feel a pang of sadness? That's exactly what happened to me with Ambee Coffee's incredible Maple Ube Latte. Their unique take on the trendy ube latte was a personal favorite, and when it vanished from the menu, I knew I had to recreate it at home.

Thankfully, with a little creativity and some delicious premium ingredients, I've managed to capture the essence of Ambee Coffee's latte in a homemade version I can enjoy anytime. The secret ingredient? Ube latte syrup straight from Hawaii!

Here's what you'll need to bring the most delicious maple ube latte right to your kitchen:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole milk (this was my preference, or you may use your preferred milk alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons Ube latte syrup (I got mine from here, its pricey!)
  • 1 tablespoon high-quality maple syrup (I use this one its the best...like no other!)
  • 1 espresso shot
  • Ice (I prefer mine warm)
  • Optional: Fun latte art or a sprinkle of ground ube for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat the Milk: In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the milk until it steams gently. You don't want it to boil!
  2. Froth the Milk:  I use this one from Nespresso. It does hot AND cold! So it will cut out step 1. If you have a milk frother, use it to create a light and fluffy foam on your warmed milk. This step adds a luxurious touch but is totally optional.
  3. Combine Ube and Maple Magic: In your favorite mug, add the ube latte syrup and maple syrup. Pour in the warmed milk and stir well to combine all the flavors.
  4. Espresso Time: Now for the coffee! Pull a shot of espresso or use strong brewed coffee. Gently pour it over the ube-maple milk mixture.
  5. Iced or Hot? If you're craving a refreshing iced latte, fill a glass with ice cubes before adding the ube-maple milk mixture and espresso.
  6. Finishing Touches: Top your latte with a dollop of whipped cream or a sprinkle of ground ube for an extra special treat (because why not?).

Remembering this latte:

This recipe might not be exactly the same as my favorite Ambee Coffee's latte, but it captures the spirit of that delicious drink I once adored. Every sip brings back memories of cozy mornings at my favorite coffee shop.

Pro-Tip: Experiment with different ube latte syrup brands. It may take a few until you find the one! Once you find your perfect flavor match, make sure you store them in your Homelistic glass coffee syrup dispenser bottles. They'll look chic and be available for you to use daily!

So there you have it! My homemade Maple Ube Latte – a delicious tribute to Ambee Coffee and a delightful treat to enjoy any time of day. Now get brewing, and let the good times (and the ube vibes) flow!
